We're looking for passionate people who love coding and love working with kids.
Future AI Coders is a STEM coding and AI education centre in Edmonton, Alberta. We teach kids ages 6–18 to build with AI through hands-on, project-based classes — from Scratch all the way to full-stack AI applications.
We're growing and looking for part-time instructors who can make coding exciting, accessible, and fun for young learners.
Part-Time Coding Tutor / Instructor
📍 Edmonton, AB (In-Person) · ⏰ 8–15 hrs/week · 💰 Competitive pay
What you'll do:
- Teach small-group classes (4–8 students) following our structured curriculum
- Guide students through projects in Scratch, Python, web development, and AI tools
- Provide encouragement, troubleshoot code, and adapt to different learning speeds
- Help with trial classes on Saturdays to assess and onboard new students
- Give feedback on student progress to parents during monthly check-ins
What we're looking for:
- Enrolled in or graduated from Computer Science, Engineering, or related program at UAlberta, MacEwan, NAIT, or equivalent
- Comfortable with Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS — you don't need to be a senior developer
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and teens
- Patient, encouraging, and able to explain concepts simply
- Bonus: experience with Scratch, AI tools (OpenAI API, Gemini), or hardware (Raspberry Pi, micro:bit)
- Must pass a criminal record check (we work with minors)
